(e.g. 1 pt + 2 pts + . . . + 1 pt = total) Refer to the next page [below] to find out how you did.
IF YOUR SCORE IS ZERO, then you sound like you may be perfectly sinless
and don't deserve Hell. If your score is ONE OR ABOVE, then you are already
condemned to spend eternity there. Here's the reason why. . .The Bible teaches that: "whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet
offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do
not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery,
yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law." (James 2:10-11)In other words, IT ONLY TAKES ONE SIN TO CONDEMN someone to Hell. God
treats His laws as one complete set and if you break one law it's like breaking the
whole set. So, even if you were to somehow obey every one of God's laws and,
"yet offend in [break] one point," you would still be, "guilty of all.""Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things
which are written in the book of the law to do them." Gal. 3:10You must understand that God is holy. He must judge sin. Therefore, no matter
how many acts of righteousness you perform, it's your sin that God will focus on.
Notice what God says about the self-righteous person in the following verse: "if
he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his
righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his
iniquity [SINS] that he hath committed, he shall die for
it." (Ezek. 33:13)God will NOT weigh your good against your bad. All your acts of righteousness,
"shall not be remembered[.]" They will not be weighed in the balance.
Only your sins will be the object of God's attention and, "The righteousness of the
righteous [the self-righteous] shall not deliver [save] him" (Ezek.
33:12).
Now, perhaps everything you have just read sounds incredibly unreasonable.
Maybe you have always been taught that if you just behave and don't mess up too
bad then you won't end up in Hell. But please ask yourself this:"If I don't deserve to die and go to Hell, then why did
Christ have to die in my place?"If God expects you to keep only part of His law then you don't need a Saviour and
Christ died for nothing. The Apostle Paul stressed the same point when he said: "if
righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain." (Gal.
2:21). You see, the truth is, God is not as unreasonable as you may think. In fact,
knowing that our sin nature is taking us to Hell, He extends His hand and
says: "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD:
though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though
they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." (Isa. 1:18)
God provided a way for us to be saved; THROUGH HIS SON. The Bible says:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)Jesus Christ was the only person to ever keep every one of God's laws. He was: "in
all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin." (Heb. 4:15) And
yet, in spite of His guiltlessness, He became a sinless sacrifice, paying for the sin
that we, as sinners, can't help but commit. God, "made him [Jesus] to be sin for
us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God
in him." (2 Cor. 5:21) So, "Christ was once offered to bear the sins of
many;" (Heb. 9:28).That's why, "while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Rom. 5:8)
He took the punishment that we deserve and paid the price for our sins. The Bible
says: "Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just [Jesus]
for the unjust [US] , that he might bring us to God," (1 Pet. 3:18).Therefore, "being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved
from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were
reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being
reconciled, we shall be saved by his life." (Rom. 5:9-10)This free gift of salvation can only be received by: "repentance toward
God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." (Acts 20:21) This means:
change your mind and admit that, right now, you are a Hell deserving sinner and that
you can't save yourself (that's what this self test was all about). And put ALL your
trust in the ONLY ONE who can save you: Jesus Christ. The Bible says:"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus [i.e. REPENT],
and shalt believe in thine heart [i.e. TRUST] that God hath raised him from
the dead, thou shalt be saved. ... For whosoever shall call
upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Rom. 10:9-13)
IF you were to die today, are you 100% SURE
you would go to Heaven? The Bible says
YOU CAN BE SURE (1 John 5:13).BUT FIRST, you must realize that what keeps you
from going to Heaven are your sins, because:
"...your iniquities [sins] have separated
between you and your God," Isaiah 59:2.
In fact, in God's eyes YOU ARE A SINNER: "For
all have sinned, and come short
of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23.SECONDLY, you must realize that there is
NOTHING you can do to save yourself and earn
Heaven: "For by grace are ye saved through
faith; and that not of yourselves: it is
the gift of God: Not of works, lest any
man should boast." Eph. 2:8-9 Baptism, good
deeds, church membership, self-righteousness are
all examples of good works that cannot save you,
because: "Not by works of
righteousness which we have done, but
according to his mercy he [Christ] saved
us," Titus 3:5.THE ONLY WAY you can get saved is through
Jesus Christ. He said: "I am the way, the
truth, and the life: no man cometh unto
the Father, but by me." (John 14:6) THAT'S
WHY: "...while we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us." (Rom. 5:8-9)THEREFORE: You must REPENT (change your
mind); admit that you are a Hell deserving sinner
and can't save yourself. And call upon Christ, and
Him alone, to save you. "if thou shalt confess
with thy mouth the Lord Jesus [REPENT], and
shalt believe in thine heart [TRUST] that God
hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved." Romans 10:9SEND THE LIGHT
