Now look inside [below] and compare your answers
with what the Bible says . . .

q AS A CHRISTIAN, do you believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell?
. . . According to the Bible you should, because that is what Jesus Christ taught.

Referring to Heaven, Jesus said: "In my Father's house are many mansions: if
it were not so, I would have told you.   I go to prepare a place for you."

John 14:2

Referring to Hell, Jesus said: "And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better
for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell,
into the fire that never shall be quenched:"
Mark 9:45.

q AS A CHRISTIAN, do you think that people are basically good, and most
will go to Heaven? . . . According to the Bible you should not, because Jesus Christ
taught the exact opposite.   He said:

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the
way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go
in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth
unto life, and few there be that find it."
  Matthew 7:13- 14

q AS A CHRISTIAN, do you believe that a person MUST be "born again"
in order to go to Heaven? . . . According to the Bible you should, because that's
what Jesus, Himself, taught.   He said:

"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he
cannot
see the kingdom of God. ... Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye
must be born again
."
  John 3:3-7

q AS A CHRISTIAN, are you offended when someone asks you about your
faith? . . . According to the Bible, your faith is not supposed to be a personal
thing.   In fact, Jesus taught that as a Christian:

"Ye are the light of the world.   A city that is set on an hill cannot
be hid.   Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a
candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.   Let your
light so shine before men
, that they may see your good works, and
glorify your Father which is in heaven."
  Matthew 5:14- 16

q AS A CHRISTIAN, do you have the desire to tell others about Jesus
Christ? . . . According to the Bible you should be more than happy to share your
faith because, after all, if you have the real thing, it only makes sense that you
would want to share it.   In fact, Jesus commanded Christians to:

"Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."   Mark
16:15

q AS A CHRISTIAN, are you able to continuously sin without being
punished by God? . . . If you can, then something is definitely wrong because,
according to the Bible, God will not let any child of His get away with unrepentant
sin without disciplining them.   The Bible says:

"For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth [disciplines], and scourgeth every
son whom he receiveth.   If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with
you as with sons
; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers,
then are ye bastards, and not sons."
  Hebrews 12:6-8

q AS A CHRISTIAN, what do you think is essential in order for someone
to get to Heaven? . . . According to the Bible, there is ONLY ONE WAY to get to
Heaven, and it's not found on the list you were given.   Jesus said:

"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me."
  John 14:6

"I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye
believe not that I am he
[the ONLY means of salvation], ye shall
die in your sins
."
  John 8:24

"I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and
shall go in and out, and find pasture."
  John 10:9

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the
sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a
thief and a robber."
  John 10:1

This quiz was designed to help separate truth
from error.   How did you score?   If the
answers seemed strange or unfamiliar to you,
the Bible gives the following advice:

"Examine yourselves, whether
ye be in the faith;"
(2 Cor. 13:5).

A.) Have you truly had a point in time when
you saw yourself as a lost, hell-deserving
sinner that needed a Saviour?   The Bible
says: "For all have sinned, and come short
of the glory of God;"
(Rom. 3:23).   "For the
wages of sin is death
[Hell];" (Rom. 6:23).

B.) Did you REPENT of what you were
trusting in to get you to Heaven?   (Baptism,
reciting a sinner's prayer, good deeds, self-
righteousness, etc.)   The Bible says: "For by
grace are ye saved through faith; and that
not of yourselves: it is the gift of
God: Not of works, lest any man
should boast."
  (Eph. 2:8-9)
To insist on trying to get to Heaven on your
own merit is to rebel against the payment for
sins that Christ has already done on your
behalf when He died for you on the cross.
That's why God says, REPENT, change
your mind
, and make Christ your LORD and
SAVIOUR.   Jesus warned, "except ye repent,
ye shall all likewise perish."
  (Luke 13:3)

C.) Did you call upon the Lord IN FAITH,
trusting that He alone could save you from
your sins?   The Bible says: "That if thou
shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that
God hath raised him from the dead, thou
shalt be saved."
  (Rom. 10:9)
