MAN OVERBOARD

He fell in the ocean, And made a big splash, Man overboard! Was heard in a flash.

They threw a lifesaver, In his case a must, To save his poor soul, In it he could trust.

But there was a problem, Confronting this man, For he had an anchor, Held tight in his hand.

The men were all yelling, 'Let go of that thing! All you will gain is the death it will bring.'

'That heavy old anchor, Is what you must leave, And grab the lifesaver, And on to it cleave.'

But what a dilemma, He couldn't have both. Lifesaver or anchor, To sink or to float.

Instead this poor fool, Held on with great pride, And therefore proceeded, To sink 'til he died.

In case you are thinking, This story insane, Allow me the pleasure, To further explain.

Christ, the Lifesaver, The man would not take, Sin was the anchor, He would not forsake.

Don't be like that man, There's no time to waste, The way of salvation, Repentance and faith.

"And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you,
but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from
house to house, Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks,
repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."

                                                                    ACTS 20:20-21
"Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee,
preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time
is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and
believe the gospel."
