Church & Sunday School Administration Class Requirements This course will consist of several aspects of the pastor's responsibilities in the
administration of church affairs. We will look at the leadership required in the over-
seeing work of the Pastor. We will not spend much [time] on the Pastoral duties. We will
be concerned primarily on how the Pastor should exercise the leadership qualities
needed for the administration of the [local] church. The Sunday School section will be a
nuts and bolts study on how to set up a Sunday School, record keeping, personnel,
finance, and class sections and divisions. You are required to keep notes of all
lectures. You will be tested on the lectures so make sure you keep a good set of
class room notes. Your only other requirement is to pick one (1) book from the
D.B.B.I. library on Church or Sunday School administration, read it and hand in a
brief outline on the content of the book. The outline should consist of a minimum
of fifty (50) words per chapter. There are several books on church and Sunday
school administration. There are also books on the Assistant Pastor and other
Personnel that are acceptable for your book report. Our number of books on the
above subjects is limited so begin your reading early in the semester before all of
