March 10, 2008 Dear Pastor, Greetings in the name of our Lord.   My name is Austin Wartner.   I am being sent out of Fargo Baptist Church of Fargo, ND as a missionary-pastor to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metropolitan area.   I would like to take a few moments to introduce you to my family and the field God has called us to start a New Testament Baptist church. My wife, Kari, and I have been married 4 years and currently have no children. Both my wife and I were saved through the campus ministry of Fargo Baptist.   My wife was saved on June 10, 2001 and I was saved April 4, 1999.   Since these respective times in our lives, we have sought to serve the Lord in many different capacities.   Our burden is to do our part to see souls come to Christ. The Minneapolis/St. Paul area is located in the south-central region of Minnesota.   The "Twin Cities," as the area is often called, houses approximately 2.8 million people which is about half the population of Minnesota.   The area has several traditional mainline denominations, new evangelical churches and a growing presence of eastern religions.   Our goal is to bring God glory through starting a doctrinally-sound independent Baptist church that will reproduce itself in time.
