A news reporter asked a
pedestrian, "What are
the two greatest prob-
lems facing America?" The
man responded, "I don't know
and I don't care!" The reporter
said, "You are right on both
problems."
Edmund Burke put it well. The
only thing necessary for evil to
triumph is for good people to
do nothing.
Recently, I joined my Dad,
Cecil Todd, founder/president
of the Rev. Fir. Ministry,
for a missions project in
Moscow, Russia. There we
were asked by the Ministry of
Education, who oversees the
entire school system in Russia,
to assist in providing New
Testament Bibles as textbooks
in their public schools. This
historic meeting took place in
the educational building in
Moscow, Russia with Dr. Igor
Smirnov, vice-chairman of the |
Russian State Committee of
Public Education. Vladimir
Saprykin, vice-president of the
Ministry of Education and high
ranking Russian government
official, gave the approval.
His enthusiastic endorsement
for the Bible in the Russian
public school project prompt-
ed him to ask, "What kind of a
Bible program do you have for
the public schools of
America?" I responded,
"Russia put God in school but
America kicked God out!"

youth with the truth
about evolution, safe sex,
abortion, h_m_sexuality,
peer pressure, drugs and
drunkenness.
All the way home from Russia
I pondered. America is a
country that was founded on
the Godly principles of the |
Bible but now you can't even
pray or give Bibles away in our
public schools. I came back to
America with a burden on my
heart for the young people in
our schools, stronger than I'd
ever had before.
Thank God, thousands of His
people across America are
becoming more and more con-
cerned and outraged that Bible
reading and prayer in our pub-
lic schools is prohibited, and
yet, Bibles are being distrib-
uted freely in the public
schools of Russia and are even
required reading by the stu-
dents! The Ten
Commandments have been
removed from the walls of our
schools by order of the
Supreme Court! Our children
and grandchildren are being
given condoms, but Bibles are

tribution of Bibles in our
Public Schools.
forbidden! Baccalaureate ser-
vices have been stopped in
most all public schools! I
believe our schools have had
to create drug free zones in the |
nineties as a result of having
Bible free zones since the six-
ties. Our public schools have
become a breeding ground for
sin and lawlessness. The sad
truth is, this country has
An army of God's young people are
being enlisted with a mission...
become hostile toward God!
You can even trace our spiritual
decline to the early sixties,
when prayer and Bible reading
were declared unconstitutional
in our public schools by our
Supreme Court! Let's face the
truth, when prayer was in
school, guns were not!
God has burdened my heart to
do something about this heart- |
breaking situation. If students
can study the Bible and pray in
the public schools of Russia,
(that once evil empire), our
young people should be able to
distribute Bibles in the public
...to legally [put] Bibles into the
public schools of America!
schools right here in America!
Consider this: there have never

hibit the distribution of Bibles
in our public schools. We have
now launched a national cam-
paign to legally [put] Bibles
into the public schools of
America! Young people who
love God are being enlisted to
lead the way. They give a very |
special Bible, The Truth For
Youth, to someone in their
school and tell them about the
Lord!

people in our schools with the
truth of God's Word. Pay spe-

Testament, informing our youth
with the truth about evolution,
safe sex, h_m_sexuality, abor-
tion, peer pressure, drugs and

from any other Bible for our
youth!
I am convinced that our public
schools are the biggest mission
field in America. Certainly
much more is needed in our
schools that just handing out
Bibles but I believe this is a
good place to start! Let's
replace bullets with Bibles!
Let's pray for the students in our
schools, the teachers and the
school administrators. Let's
pray for America, that God will
turn this nation back to Him
before it is eternally too late! |
