father was killed in a mid-air collision in the
spring of 1945. His mother was left with five
girls and four boys, yet his interest and love for
aviation was not deterred. His first solo flight
took place at the ripe old age of 15, in Nisswa,
Minnesota, in the summer of 1952. At age 17,
he acquired a Private Pilot License, at 18 a
Commercial Pilot License and just after his
20th birthday, a Flight Instructor's rating. He
instructed for about 18 months, during which
time he received his instrument rating. In June
of 1958 he hired on with Frontier Airlines of
Denver, Colorado as a DC-3 co-pilot. He was
flying the B-737 up until October of 1986
when he left the airline industry for a promo-
tion into the ministry of the Lord. During
these past 37 years he has accumulated ap-
proximately 24,000 hours of flying time. He
praises God for the privilege of using his
background and experience to serve and be a
blessing to pastors, His people, and missionar-
ies on the field.
====== PERSONAL TESTIMONIES Even now, 6 months after my trip into Mexico,
I still see the needy faces. I vividly remember
the hunger for the Gospel as I watched people
take tracts and read them. I'm so thankful I
had the opportunity to be an eye witness at a
village meeting with 48 souls saved that night.
I'll never forget the feeling of togetherness I
shared with the people by handing out Bibles
to them, even though I could not speak their
language. The needs are so many, the helpers
are so few. Won't you help?--Jerry L. · Illinois
Before I took the trip in November 1986, I
already had a burden for souls and for missions,
and my church was active in both; but the
verse that says, "Mine eye affecteth mine
heart..." is true. Because by taking a Bearing
Precious Seed trip with Wings As Eagles I was
able to see the great burden in Mexico person-
ally; and to see as we gave them the Word of
God, how hungry they were to receive it and
how it encouraged the believers there, the
people were grateful to have someone bring
them the Word of God.--Pastor Joe M. · Minnesota
