CHRISTIAN
LAW
ASSOCIATION
On the Cutting
Edge of the
Fight for Biblical
Religious FreedomCLA: A MINISTRY OF HELPS TO BIBLE-BELIEVING CHURCHES AND CHRISTIANS
The Christian Law Association is truly a "ministry of helps." It legally defends Bible-Believing churches, pastors, and Christians who are sued, or threatened with suit, for standing for their Biblical faith. Because CLA is a faith ministry, the legal work it performs is done at no charge to those helped or defended. CLA is on the cutting edge of the fight for Biblical religious freedom in America. CLA's telephones ring approximately 40,000 times a year, and its legal mies. handle over 12,000 new legal matters annually. In each of these legal matters, churches and Christians are under at- tack for doing what is Biblically right. Each year, CLA is active in helping churches in all fifty states.
Among the issues being defended by the Christian Law Association are:
Your right to share your faith and tell others about Jesus Christ as Saviour,
Your right to Biblically educate and train your children, and
Your church's right to operate its ministries free from improper governmental intrusion or interference. The work of CLA also has another facet. CLA actively works to help churches by providing free legal advice to those who call our offices, as well as representing our clients in court. In addition, CLA provides legal
resources, sample legal forms and documents, and conducts seminars to help church leaders avoid legal problems. The Christian Law Associa- tion exists to serve. CLA's Minutemen and supporting churches pray for the work of this ministry and financially make it possible for this to truly be a "ministry of helps."
---======--- "Our pledge
to you is to
faithfully fight
for your
Christian
liberties."Meet Attorney
David C. Gibbs, Jr.Twenty-five years ago, Attorney Gibbs first defended in court a pastor and church who were being sued for the Biblical faith. His heart was to make this legal defense his ministry, as he would not charge these Christians for his time or expenses as they were standing for what was Biblically right.
From that first case twenty-five years ago, the legal my. ministry of the Christian Law Association was born. Attorney Gibbs has now defended thousands of cases, has argued before fifteen state supreme courts, and has still maintained the same ministry spirit by not charging those he helps.
Brother Gibbs carries a great burden for pastors and churches across America, and has
dedicated his life to serving them in any way he can. His travel schedule consists of several hundred thousand miles each year as he covers the nation preaching in churches, conducting legal seminars, and helping pastors and churches who have been sued. Brother Gibbs' heart to help every Christian and church in legal trouble for their Biblical faith, regardless of their ability to pay, is what created the legal ministry known as the Christian Law Association.

in the Fight for America's
Religious LibertyThe financial support for CLA comes
from two sources. Fifty percent comes
from churches who place our ministry in
their budget as legal mies. The
other fifty percent comes from individu-
als and families who become Minutemen.A CLA Minuteman joins with us in the
battle for religious liberty in America and
promises to do two things. First and fore-
most, a Minuteman promises to pray for
CLA and the Christians in these legal tri-
als. Second, a Minuteman makes a faith
promise pledge, above and beyond his
tithes and offerings to his local church, to
help support the CLA legal ministry on a
monthly basis, if possible. We believe God has raised up the
Christian Law Association for His honor
and glory, and we believe He is raising up
supporting churches and Minutemen to
help in the battle to preserve America's
religious liberty.Christian Law Association
